Monica Campbell
Monica Campbell is a journalist with more than 20 years of experience. She has spent much of her career outside of the United States, mostly in Latin America and the Caribbean. She has also reported from Afghanistan. Her coverage has largely focused on immigration and migration throughout the Western Hemisphere. During the past decade, she was a senior audio editor and reporter for PRX’s The World. Her coverage on immigrant communities in the U.S. earned a national Murrow Award. She was awarded a Harvard Nieman Fellowship. She has taught journalism at San Quentin State Prison and at the University of California, Berkeley. She is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
