With the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak spreading throughout our communities, nation and nations of the world, this pandemic fills our hearts with cares and anxieties of tomorrow. Our minds are full of fear and mixed emotions.

During this dark somber time may we find solace in the memories of yesteryear when our hearts and spirits were filled with happiness and bright sunny days. After this pandemic is nowhere to be found and lessens our fears of today, just know the circle of life will always be.

In years past, dark and dusty shadows fell over the Native People, when governments infected us with diseases, killed off the buffalo and eliminated our food sources, destroyed our homes, stole our land and outlawed our religious beliefs. Things would never be the same, and many thought we would only know dark clouds and rain.

And yes, things would never be the same, but over time we found happiness and had sunny days again, even in the rain. The circle of life continues in happiness and pain.

Come tomorrow should you find me gone walking on the wind, look for me not in the darkness but toward the setting sun, just below the horizon you’ll find me in the light of all CREATION as I journey endlessly the sacred circle throughout time, on and on.
