Awakening from a nightmare of a morbid scare,
with a shout and a scream.
Will I survive COVID-19?
It was stalking and killing people in the umpteens of thousands, it seemed.
It was real, not a dream!
Will I, can I, survive COVID-19?
Each and every day, more and more pass away.
What will put this demonic plague away?
I wish and dream of a world without COVID-19.
Isn’t that fair? Don’t you care?
Wear a mask!
Be ready for the task!
Where does it come from, you begrudgingly ask?
It began in China,
but where will this pandemic end?
I have zero idea my friend.
Hope and pray you survive COVID-19
‘cause it is mean and a real bonafide killer!
