Is my donation tax-deductible?

PJP is an independent nonprofit organization as defined by Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions or gifts to Prison Journalism Project are tax-deductible (EIN 87-3805290).

Do you accept matching gifts?

Yes! Many employers have matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Some companies even match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. These donations really make a difference.

How does Prison Journalism Project use my donation?

Your membership donation helps us cover the costs necessary to train incarcerated writers in the tools of journalism and publish their stories, so they can shed light on the U.S. system of mass incarceration. You can help us change the narrative by changing the storytellers. Become a PJP member today!
