Everyone’s aware,
Worried and scared,
Of the world’s newest enemy we all share,
That doesn’t care if you’re talking with an old friend or just bumped into someone on the stairs,
It cares not about where you go to school or the color of your hair,
What languages you speak or the political views you share,
Or if you attend your religious service in time for prayer.
We’ve all come together to stand against this common enemy,
Which is very historical
I don’t know of any other time in history, coming together and yet forced to be apart,
It’s at this time the only way to win this battle that it start,
People walking around with masks covering their face,
Paranoid that the next man may leave a trace,
It’s truly terrifying not knowing from which angle this silent killer may take!
However, this virus was doomed before its start,
Humans working together even apart, is where u will find humanity’s heart.
We have lost so very much and may lose more before it’s all through,
As we know winning this battle will take the work of everyone including you.
The beautiful thing is that when this is all said and done,
We will all have become closer and will understand
That we are a lot stronger when we stand as one!
