Gender & Sexuality

Lesbian, gay, and bisexual adults are overrepresented in jails and prisons. Federal data has found that LGB people are three times as likely to be incarcerated as the general population, and over 40% of incarcerated women are lesbian or bisexual. These are stories and perspectives about the LGBTQ experience inside prison.
